Position Overview
The Long Term Foster Care (LTFC) Casework Support Specialist will assist Case Managers with documentation, client contact, foster parent communication, and case management services for unaccompanied children in the Transitional Foster Care program at Bethany Christian Services. This role supports family reunification and ensures compliance with agency, federal, and state regulations.
Compensation & Benefits Salary Range:
$21 - $22 per hour Sign-On Bonus:
$1,500 Performance Incentive Bonus (after 6 months):
$1,500
Essential Responsibilities
Assist Case Managers with immigration paperwork and background screenings.
Provide case management services including social work, counseling, and treatment of clients.
Assist with youth and sponsor assessments.
Maintain client contact for case follow-up or intervention.
Provide coverage of cases when the Case Manager is absent.
Accompany youth to immigration hearings or procedures.
Schedule and attend medical, dental, and legal appointments.
Collaborate with supervisor to schedule and prioritize work duties.
Attend training as required.
Enter case notes in the UC Portal timely.
Stay current on regulatory requirements for social services.
Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Associate's degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field.
Bilingual in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong logical and critical thinking skills.
Compassionate customer service orientation.
Reliable with time-sensitive deadlines.
High level of confidentiality.
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to change.
Physical ability to fulfill essential job functions, including restraints of a resident.
Pass annual TB test and document preference for hepatitis immunization.
Proficient with Microsoft Office.
Must be 21 years old with valid driver’s license, at least 3 years driving experience, and a reliable vehicle with insurance.
Pass criminal history screen and child protection agency registries.
Documentation of immunity to vaccine‑preventable diseases or willingness to be vaccinated.
Alignment with agency’s Statement of Faith, Mission Statement, and Commitment to Unity.
