Compensation:
$31.16/hr – $31.16/hr (base pay range)
Reports to:
Dental Director/Dental Manager
Job Summary:
Assists dentist at chair side, employing the latest concept of four‑handed dentistry.
Responsibilities
Assists dentist during procedures.
Utilizes four‑handed dentistry techniques.
Prepares and sterilizes instruments.
Maintains patient records in electronic health record systems.
Assists in patient intake and education.
Qualifications
High school graduate or General Education Development (GED) certificate equivalency.
Registered Dental Assistant license issued by the Dental Board of California.
Entry‑level qualification: no minimum experience as a Registered Dental Assistant.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Dental Assistant I.
Current Cardio‑Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification from the American Heart Association.
Computer skills in electronic health record systems and database systems.
Fluency in English (speak, read, and write).
Fluency in Spanish (speak, translate, read, and write) required.
Current California driver’s license; appropriate insurance coverage acceptable.
Demonstrated knowledge and skills to provide care appropriate to patients’ ages, including infants, adolescents, and geriatric patients.
