Job Description Johnson 6 is a 37‑bed medical unit. The unit has multiple private rooms to accommodate the needs of the variety of patient populations. It also has three 4‑bed rooms; overflow beds are available in case of elevated census. There is one negative pressure room for patients requiring this level of isolation.
The unit has been assessed to accommodate behavioral health patients, who may be on suicide precautions. These patients are often placed in private rooms near the Nurse’s Station for the highest levels of monitoring.
Patient Population Johnson 6 accepts patients 16 years of age or older with chronic medical conditions. Patients cared for on this unit generally range in age 20 to 90 years. Admission sources include internal medicine, medical oncology, hospice, infectious disease, behavioral health, thoracic surgery, and renal services.

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse license
Minimum of 1 year of RN acute or post‑acute care experience
BSN preferred
BCLS required
Pay Range $36.00 - $79.12
This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. The pay range is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time and is governed by the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
Vaccination Requirement Beth Israel Lahey Health requires that all staff be vaccinated against influenza as a condition of employment.
