RN Staff Nurse Cardiac Cath Lab Full-time with Call The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct and/or indirect care of patients in the Cardiac Cath Lab. The RN must demonstrate knowledge of growth and development over the lifespan and assess patient status to meet age‑specific needs.

Education

Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing (required)

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) (preferred)

Experience

Knowledge of general nursing principles and practice skills

Knowledge of organizational functions, policies and regulations

Knowledge of current trends and new developments in the cardiovascular arena

Preferred: Previous clinical experience as an RN‑CVS in a Cardiac Cath Lab.

Licensure & Certification

Current Tennessee RN license

BLS completed before arrival to the unit and maintained thereafter

Current ACLS certification

Current PALS certification

Preferred: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) after one year.

Responsibilities Provide direct and indirect patient care, assess patients, administer pharmacological drugs as ordered, perform procedures, operate equipment necessary for patient care, assist the physician with procedures, maintain sterile technique, and ensure radiation safety.
