Senior Patient Access Representative – Sanford Hematology/Oncology Clinic
Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 5:00pm (40 hrs per week) — Day Shifts, 8‑hour day.
Summary Senior Patient Access Representative serves as a liaison between patients, families, physicians, and medical support staff, scheduling care and ensuring access to services.
Job Description
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to schedule medical services for patients; review procedure/surgery orders and schedule necessary resources.
Manage provider schedules and resolve conflicts, serving as liaison between providers and supporting staff.
Demonstrate medical necessity to insurance companies and obtain prior authorization as needed.
Perform registration duties and work front desk; train and mentor new employees; serve as EMR super user.
Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and mutual respect; use problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills; work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in computer skills and use of multi‑line telephone.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; post‑secondary education helpful.
Six months’ customer service experience desired; prior medical office experience preferred.
Prior electronic medical records (EMR) experience preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology and customer service skills essential.
