The candidate should possess strong organizational, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills, and is computer proficient. The position is responsible for interpreting and enforcing adopted township codes & ordinances related to building codes, property maintenance and health & safety and provides assistance and information to property owners, residents, and businesses. The ideal candidate will have three (3) or more years of experience in municipal government; have obtained their Certified ICC Property Maintenance & Housing Inspector credential, PA Building Code Official credential through PA Dept. of Labor & Industry, and Community Noise Enforcement Certification or the ability to obtain certifications within one year of date of hire. The successful candidate must submit to a background check and pre-employment screening and will be required to attend evening meetings. This position is full-time non-exempt. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience. Salary range: $65K - $72K per year with excellent benefits.
