Assembly Technician - 1st Shift

Schneider Electric is seeking an Assembly Technician for 1st Shift to join our manufacturing team in Mt Juliet, TN. This role involves preparing, assembling, and wiring products in accordance with specifications, in preparation for testing and final quality inspection.
Responsibilities
Material Selection – Choose appropriate wire gauges, insulation types, connectors, terminals, and protective coverings.
Wire Cutting and Stripping – Accurately measure, cut, and strip wires according to specifications.
Crimping and Soldering – Apply correct crimping or soldering techniques to ensure strong electrical and mechanical connections.
Assembly of Wire Harnesses – Route, bundle, and secure wires into harnesses or looms per design requirements.
Labeling and Identification – Properly label wires, connectors, and assemblies for traceability and ease of installation.
Blueprint and Schematic Interpretation – Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics to install and wire electrical components.
Mechanical Assembly – Perform mechanical assembly of subassemblies using hand and/or power tools.
Safety and Quality Compliance – Follow prescribed safety rules, regulations, and maintain established quality standards.

Qualifications High school diploma or GED required.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
Candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen as well as a background check to the satisfaction of the Company.
Candidates must be able to communicate effectively.
PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is required safety shoes and safety glasses must be worn on the production floor.
Work is performed in a Manufacturing Environment, where prolonged period(s) of standing is required for duration of shift.
Requires the ability to reach overhead, pull, push, bend, squat, and climb a ladder to perform work.
Ability to lift 26 pounds occasionally or 22 pounds independently and repetitively.
