We’re seeking a motivated

Graduate Civil Engineer

with a passion for both design and construction to join our

Roadway & Utilities group!

We are looking for a graduate who is interested in specializing in utilities aspects of our projects which entails utility planning, design, and construction activities to control costs and mitigate risks to the project and the public. In this role, you will help create flexibility in infrastructure programs, so utilities are prepared for ever-evolving requirements. Our team builds lasting relationships with clients and stakeholders to optimize, economize, protect and extend the life of water and wastewater utilities.

As a member of our team, you will work alongside multi-disciplined engineering (civil, electrical, mechanical, and structural), design, and planning professionals to design a variety of roadway and utility projects within the Twin Cities metro area and throughout the State of Minnesota.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with civil, electrical, mechanical, structural, design, and planning professionals on multidisciplinary projects

Assist in the design of roadway and utility infrastructure across the Twin Cities metro and greater Minnesota

Participate in the full project life cycle - from initial concept through construction completion

Conduct site assessments to gather field data and evaluate existing conditions

Develop construction documents, plans, and specifications using industry-standard tools and practices

Observe construction operations to ensure design intent, quality standards, and safety protocols are met

Communicate effectively with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders throughout all phases of the project

Required Qualifications

Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering

Previous exposure or interest in Municipal / Utility or Transportation Engineering

Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MS Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to apply effective verbal and written communication skills when writing specifications and reports, participating in project team discussions, and interacting with clients and contractors

Valid Driver's License and motor vehicle record (MVR) meeting company standards

Preferred Qualifications

Experience developing construction documentation for roadway design, utility, grading and drainage, and stormwater management projects

Previous experience conducting on-site inspections and construction observations for municipal or transportation projects

Engineer In Training Certification or interest in attaining within 6 months of start date

Previous experience as a member of a multi-disciplined project team

Compensation:

$72,800 - $85,448.63 a year (starting base pay range for candidates with 0-5 years of related experience. Compensation may vary based on experience, qualifications, and responsibilities.)
