Position Description: We are seeking a skilled/experienced Sheet Metal Welder to join our Production team. You will fabricate and assemble ductwork including roof curbs and curb adapters according to specifications and conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure both accuracy and quality. You will collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and be involved in our Continuous Improvement culture.
This role is accountable for all jobs going through the weld department—ensuring they are completed on time, to customer specifications, and to high-quality standards. In addition to welding and fabrication duties, this role includes leadership responsibilities, such as directing daily workflow, managing the department schedule to ensure efficient and on-time production, and supporting other department leads.
Skills required include:
MIG welding galvanized, carbon and stainless
90% of work will be 14-26ga GALVANIZED
Laser welding and hand plasma cutting
Sheet metal layout and print reading
Cutting using a cold saw, shop saw and other hand tools
Ironworker, press brake forming, and hand brake forming
Requirements:
Minimum 4+ years welding experience; proficient with light-gauge material
Minimum 2+ years experience managing a department schedule and workflow
Ability to work Monday–Friday, 5:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. (40–50 hours/week)
Able to work in a physically demanding environment and lift 50+ pounds
Punctual, reliable, strong work ethic; able to work independently
Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate a team
Solid problem-solving and decision‑making abilities
Effective time-management, organizational, and multitasking skills
High attention to detail and commitment to quality
Accountability and follow-through on production tasks
Preferred:
Knowledge of HVAC duct, roof curb or curb adapters
