We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced
Compliance Auditor
to join our Corporate Headquarters team. This role is responsible for auditing, monitoring, and supporting compliance across our automotive dealership operations, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and internal policies. The ideal candidate brings strong automotive industry knowledge, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work cross-functionally with dealership leadership, finance, HR, and legal teams.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct scheduled and ad-hoc compliance audits across dealership locations and corporate departments
Review dealership operations for compliance with federal and state regulations (FTC, F&I, privacy, employment, and consumer protection laws)
Audit F&I, sales, accounting, payroll, HR, and operational processes for policy adherence
Identify compliance risks, gaps, and control weaknesses; document findings and recommend corrective actions
Partner with dealership leadership to develop remediation plans and monitor follow-through
Prepare clear, concise audit reports and present findings to executive leadership
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of automotive regulatory changes and industry best practices
Assist with compliance training programs and policy updates
Support external audits, regulatory inquiries, and internal investigations as needed
Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in all matters
Qualifications & Experience
Compliance, audit, or risk management experience (automotive dealership experience ideal)
Strong understanding of automotive retail operations, including sales, F&I, accounting, and HR practices
Knowledge of federal and state compliance requirements impacting automotive dealerships
Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently, manage multiple audits, and meet deadlines
High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with DMS systems a plus
Willingness to travel to dealership locations as needed
Preferred Qualifications
CPA, CIA, CFE, or similar certification a plus (not required)
