Prioritize daily workflow pertaining to loan fundings, rate locks, new loans, etc.
Ability to multi-task is crucial for this position.
Assemble new residential mortgage and consumer (including HELOC’s) loan files upon receipt of preliminary application information.
Input data and send welcome letters with all necessary regulatory disclosures to customer detailing additional due-diligence materials required by the Bank or Lender for submission.
Order and review all documentation, including credit reports, appraisals, preliminary title reports, and income documentation for accuracy and current date prior to submitting to underwriting.
Communicate with borrowers, loan agents and branch bank personnel regarding conditions and loan status.
Prepare revised LE/CD Disclosures when applicable for compliance purposes.
Upload and submit loans through the Lender’s various paperless systems.
Obtain and review all “prior to doc” and “prior to close” conditions stipulated by the lender.
Order loan documentation for approved loans through Loan Service Center Doc Team for portfolio loans or the Lenders for brokered out loans.
Request funds on brokered out loans.
Complete all required HMDA reporting information.
Prepare and organize loan packages for submission to underwriters and provide administrative support to loan officers and underwriters as needed.
Process Broker fee checks.
Complete Notice of Action Taken form for declined, withdrawn or cancelled loan applications.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of Encompass and Abrigo software applications, Fannie Mae Desktop Originator, Freddie Mac Desktop Underwriter, and other Web-based artificial intelligence approval applications.
Working knowledge of the various loan programs and guidelines for loans offered by the Bank and its wholesale lending sources.
Working knowledge of residential mortgage and construction lending loan processing principles and practices.
Skills operating a personal computer including word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software.
Basic mathematical calculation skills.
Physical Requirements Office Worker: Ability to stand, bend, stoop, sit, walk, twist and turn. Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally. Indoor office work environment with a majority of time sitting at a desk.
Compensation The hiring range for this position is to $24.00 to $31.00 per hour. The compensation offered will fall within this range, commensurate with the candidate's applicable experience, education and skills.
Qualifications High School Diploma or GED and two (2) years’ experience in loan processing.
