The Plant Engineer is responsible for the technical management of operations within the assigned organizational unit and is in charge of the technical and organizational support of production campaigns in ADS multipurpose facilities, ensuring the production of intermediates and active pharmaceutical ingredients in compliance with occupational safety, hygiene, and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) guidelines.

The role is based in Visp, Switzerland. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates and their families, if needed. This role involves being onsite full time.

What you will do

Responsible for planning and implementing production changes, investments, and modern, cost-effective maintenance, involving all necessary stakeholders

Support the operations manager in the technical management of production facilities

Ensure professional and economical maintenance while maintaining sufficient plant availability, including interactions with authorities

Lead or participate in technical projects

Responsible for preparing credit applications/investments and implementing strategic maintenance projects

Responsible for optimizing ongoing technical installations with a focus on sustainable concepts

Responsible for managing your team

Responsible for meeting cost and schedule targets

Conduct risk analyses to comply with safety, health, and environmental requirements

What we are looking for

Technical college degree (HF) with relevant professional experience / University of Applied Sciences degree (FH) / University degree, ETH (Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering)

Several years of professional experience in engineering and maintenance (electrical, ne mechanical)

Independent and flexible working style; strong team player with excellent motivational skills and resilience; very good communication style

Structured, solution-oriented working approach and openness to new ideas

First team management an asset

Knowledge of MS Office, SAP, AutoCAD, COMOS is an advantage

Fluent in German and English. Alternatively, you are fluent in one of the two languages and willing to learn the other.
