Talascend is currently seeking a Mobile Device Software Tester for a W-2 contract opportunity with our client in Plano, Texas.

Overview A mobile device software tester ensures that smartphones and tablets function correctly by verifying performance, usability, and reliability across different networks, operating systems, and hardware models. The tester executes test cases for mobile applications and main features, identifies, documents, and tracks defects, collaborates with R&D and QA engineers, and helps deliver a seamless, stable, and optimized user experience before market release.
Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with developers, QA engineers, and cross-functional teams
Detect, track, and document software defects, performance issues, and inconsistencies
Design, execute, and maintain functional, regression, and performance test cases for mobile apps and system features
Analyze test results and provide detailed reports and feedback to the development team
Validate firmware, connectivity (Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, LTE/5G), and hardware interactions
Conduct manual and automated testing as per defined procedures and quality criteria
Perform testing throughout all phases of the mobile software life cycle: design, develop, test, release, and maintenance
Qualifications
B.S degree in Computer Science/related field
3+ years of experience in mobile software or QA testing
More than 1 year of S/W development and debugging
Fluent in English and Korean in both writing and speaking
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
Strong understanding of mobile Android OS platforms and device ecosystems
Ability to work in an agile environment with minimal supervision
Critical thinking and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail
Strong teamwork and cross‑functional collaboration abilities
Excellent time-management and documentation skills
Great interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred Requirements
Experience with mobile test tools (e.g., ADB, Xcode, Appium, Jira, TestRail, or similar)
