Public Safety Telecommunicator – Per Diem (max 29 hours a week)
The City of Rahway Police Department is recruiting a Public Safety Telecommunicator. The primary duty is answering, dispatching and coordinating personnel and equipment from calls received, including 911. Additional duties are outlined in the Civil Service Commission title Public Safety Telecommunicator and may include other responsibilities as assigned.
Must be able to multi‑task and work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Training will be provided; experience is an asset. Candidate must possess a NJ Basic Telecommunicator Certification.
Pre‑employment drug screen and background checks are performed.
