Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry position in an acute care setting in California, requiring a CA RN license and recent charge nurse experience.
Responsibilities
Work in the Telemetry unit within an acute care hospital setting
Day shifts with 12-hour scheduling and every other weekend required
First to float as needed within the facility
Charge nurse responsibilities required during shifts
Patient population consists of telemetry monitoring cases
Uses Cerner EMR system
Assignment duration is 13 weeks
Blend of charge nurse, clinical mentor, and manager responsibilities, including rounding on patients, addressing service or safety issues, and providing staff support
Three weeks of comprehensive orientation, including one week classroom and two weeks on unit
Must be comfortable with on-shift leadership and supporting a positive work environment
Mandatory participation in facility-specific skills assessment and orientation modules
Scrub color requirements will be communicated prior to start
Requirements
Active CA RN license required at the time of application
Minimum of 3 years of recent RN experience required
Must have served as a charge RN in the most recent assignment
Current ACLS, BLS (AHA), and NIHSS (AHA or APEX) certifications required No first-time travelers will be considered
Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last three years
Copy of driver's license required
Must not have been employed by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility in the past year
