Our client, a top-tier Management Consulting firm, is seeking a highly skilled
High-Performance Computing(HPC) Specialist
to lead the design and build of an HPC environment on AWS as part of an
EDA (Electronic Design Automation)
proof‑of‑concept initiative. This project has the potential to transition into a full production build.
Responsibilities and Requirements:
Architect and deploy a scalable HPC environment on AWS supporting up to 20,000 cores
Collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams to understand performance requirements and design considerations
Integrate and optimize the environment using:
SUSE Linux
Amazon ParallelCluster Services (PCS)
SLURM workload manager
FSx for NetApp ONTAP
Ensure performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency in a cloud‑native HPC setup
Participate in daily technical coordination and updates throughout the 12-week engagement
Proven hands‑on experience in architecting and managing HPC environments in AWS
Strong knowledge of:
SUSE Linux administration
HPC workload managers (preferably SLURM)
Amazon PCS and FSx for NetApp
Previous experience in EDA workloads or similar compute‑heavy environments is a strong plus
Ability to work independently in a remote, fast‑paced consulting setup
