Electric Pump and its family of companies have been in operation for the last 45 years providing fluid handling equipment to our customers in the industrial, municipal, and environmental markets. In addition, we are the largest pump service organization in the upper Midwest. Electric Pump is comprised of eight locations in seven states with approximately 135 employees. Our offices have a friendly, laid-back environment. Starnet Technologies was founded in 1995 to provide services and support to the Water and Wastewater industries. Starnet has since expanded to provide: engineering, proposals, estimates, custom CAD drawings, programming, system integration, manufacturing of custom & standard controls, and field services. In December 2015, Electric Pump acquired Starnet Technologies. Job Summary
This position will include providing programming services of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s) and Human Machine Interfaces (HMI’s) primarily in the municipal water and wastewater industry. Essential Functions
Manage all PLC and HMI code development on large-scale, complex projects for municipal water and wastewater SCADA systems. Complete full project start-up and control system commissioning including instrumentation and motor control devices. Communications network commissioning including fiber optic, radio telemetry, broadband, and other associated technologies. Manage all project documentation per company standards and project specific requirements. Communicate with customers throughout the design and construction phases as well as for aftermarket support. 5 years of programming experience in the following:
PLC programming such as Allen-Bradley RSLogix 500 and 5000, Modicon, Siemens S7, GE PAC systems or the like. HMI programming such as Wonderware, FactoryTalk View, Cimplicity, Intellution or the like.
Information Technology experience is a plus. Candidate must possess good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of co-workers, management, and clients. Must be able to handle multiple tasks, have excellent attention to detail, and be willing and able to learn new technologies quickly. Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or 2-year Associate’s degree in Automation related field, preferred but not required. 5 years of experience in the following: PLC programming such as Allen-Bradley RSLogix 500 and 5000, Modicon, Siemens S7, GE PAC Systems or the like HMI programming such as Wonderware, FactoryTalk View, Cimplicity, Intellution, or the like Benefits
