This role is a key link between
Ferrero
and
Metcash , responsible for managing the replenishment and supply process to ensure Ferrero products are available across Metcash’s national distribution centres. Sitting within the supply chain function, you’ll build strong partnerships, and lead collaboration meetings with replenishment teams and sales teams to align on key executions & events and improve on forecast accuracy and manage Metcash inventory holdings to achieve optimal results for both Ferrero and Metcash.Through data analysis, performance reporting, and process improvement initiatives, you’ll help identify opportunities to enhance service levels, streamline operations, and ultimately support Ferrero’s growth within the Metcash network.
Main Responsibilities:
Managing Outbound Service Level and inventory targets
at DC level
Investigating and resolving alerts; review forecast for risk lines; identifying & communicating reasons for changes in demand
Mitigate any potential out of stocks working with Ferrero and Metcash replenishment team
Ensuring future order plans support the operational plan (promotions, events, range changes and seasonality)
Transport Management
Collaborate with both Ferrero and Metcash distribution teams to minimise transport and handling costs whilst maximising inbound & outbound service levels
Work with transport companies to ensure all orders are delivered on time
Help mitigating service level hits by working closely with transport companies and DCs
Forecasting, Demand Management and Execution
Weekly comparison of Metcash projected orders and Ferrero demand forecast to ensure orders and promotions are loaded and aligned
Share the Metcash forecast at the SKU and DC level with the Sales team, coordinate and facilitate collaboration meetings with the Metcash Demand Planning team, and ensure alignment between Ferrero’s forecast and Metcash’s projections to maintain consistency and accuracy
Review Metcash scan Forecast on a weekly basis and compare with Ferrero’s promotional program to ensure that volumes and timings are aligned
Liaise withSales team on allocations by store
About You: You are a proactive and detail-oriented supply chain professional with strong analytical and communication skills. With a tertiary qualification in
Business
or
Supply Chain , you bring a solid understanding of forecasting, inventory management, and replenishment principles—ideally gained within an
FMCG
environment. Your background as a
Vendor Replenishment Planner (VRP)
or experience in
customer service, sales, demand, or supply planning
equips you with the ability to balance commercial and operational priorities effectively. You have a broad knowledge of the
retail and FMCG industry , and thrive in a fast-paced environment where collaboration and accuracy are key.
You’re confident working with analysing data, proposing solutions, and drive continuous improvement. Your strong interpersonal and communication skills allow you to build trust and rapport with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless customer and partner relationships. Highly organised and motivated, you’re skilled at managing multiple priorities while maintaining high attention to detail. Proficiency in
Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
and experience with
ERP or Metcash systems
such as
CASS, SAP, EBI, RC, and Fulfilment
will set you up for success in this role.
