We’re looking for a detail-driven Staff Accountant to join our Finance team and support the accurate and timely reporting of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial activity. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you’ll play a key role in daily accounting operations, month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, tax compliance, and audit support. This role offers excellent exposure across core accounting functions in a growing, international business. We thrive in a hybrid work environment, coming together on Tuesdays and Wednesdays as well as during month-end. Key responsibilities include: Performing daily bank reconciliations across multiple accounts Preparing daily and monthly sales reporting Completing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolving reconciling items Supporting the month-end close process, including journal entries Maintaining fixed assets, depreciation schedules, disposals, and annual audits Assisting with US sales and use tax reporting and notice resolution Preparing Canadian GST and PST returns (monthly/quarterly) Supporting financial reporting, variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting Assisting with corporate audit and tax preparation requests Contributing to special accounting projects as required The Fit
You’re a proactive and reliable accounting professional who enjoys working with detail, solving problems, and supporting accurate financial outcomes. You take pride in your work, manage deadlines well, and collaborate effectively within a team environment. To succeed in this role, you’ll bring: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 2–5 years of accounting or finance experience Strong Excel and general computer skills Excellent attention to detail and analytical capability Strong time management, communication, and problem-solving skills A dependable, accountable approach with a commitment to continuous improvement Preferred (but not essential)
CPA or progress toward certification Experience with SAP Retail and sales & use tax experience Why Gallagher?
