About the Role We are seeking a CHB Supervisor to supervise our import brokerage team and ensure full compliance with U.S. Customs regulations. The right candidate will bring 4+ years of leadership experience overseeing entry writers, along with expert knowledge of customs procedures. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll guide the team in handling complex import shipments while serving as the licensed Customs Broker for the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and mentor a team of entry writers and brokerage staff, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in daily operations.
Act as the licensed Customs Broker for the company, ensuring full compliance with all U.S. Customs & Border Protection (CBP) regulations.
Review, approve, and monitor customs entries, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
Oversee resolution of customs compliance issues and respond to CBP inquiries as needed.
Partner with clients to provide guidance on import regulations, tariff classifications, and duty rates.
Develop and implement process improvements to streamline operations and maintain service excellence.
Monitor team performance, provide training, and foster a culture of accountability and growth.
Qualifications
Minimum 4 years of experience leading entry writers or brokerage teams in a freight forwarding or customs brokerage environment.
Active U.S. Customs Broker License required.
Strong knowledge of HTS classification, FDA, USDA, and other government agency regulations.
Proven ability to manage complex import shipments and ensure compliance.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills.
