Position Summary We are seeking a highly skilled

Senior Network Automation Engineer

to design, build, and optimize automation frameworks for large‑scale Arista EOS environments. This hands‑on role spans

software engineering, network engineering, and DevOps , with responsibility for the full SDLC—from architecture and coding to testing, deployment, and operations.

You will develop

playbooks, reusable frameworks, and automated test suites

that provision, monitor, and validate complex network topologies at scale. The role requires close collaboration with development, test, and operations teams to deliver a frictionless self‑service automation platform that enhances

reliability, speed, and security

for internal stakeholders.

This is an opportunity to

shape automation standards, controls, and telemetry

for a high‑performance, secure platform while mentoring peers and enabling engineering teams to accelerate delivery.

Key Responsibilities Automation Architecture & Development

Design and implement greenfield network automation solutions.

Architect reusable

Ansible/Python frameworks, roles, and modules

for Arista EOS.

Develop abstracted device classes and methods to provision, configure, and monitor devices at scale.

Automated Testing & Quality

Build and maintain automated test suites integrated into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).

Monitor test execution, analyze failures, and perform root cause analysis.

Deliver actionable bug reports and continuously improve automation reliability.

Provisioning, Observability & Security

Implement automation for provisioning and validation using REST, OpenConfig, gNMI, and Ansible.

Build logging, metrics, telemetry, and security controls to ensure efficiency and compliance.

Standards, SDLC & Enablement

Define and evolve

security, coding, and development standards

across the SDLC.

Translate complex business and technical workflows into

Ansible/Python code and authoritative runbooks .

Contribute to internal enablement via documentation, code reviews, and mentoring on automation best practices.

Required Qualifications

Automation & Scripting:

5–7 years of experience with Ansible and/or Python; YAML, JSON; infrastructure automation.

Networking Expertise:

Strong knowledge of VXLAN, BGP, and EVPN; hands‑on experience with Arista switches and CloudVision Portal (CVP).

APIs & Tools:

REST, OpenConfig, gNMI; Git; CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab); Linux. (Itential experience preferred).

Experience:

5–7 years in network infrastructure, delivering automation frameworks, applying SDLC best practices, and enforcing security controls.

Soft Skills:

Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; ability to work independently and in global teams; strong organizational skills and adaptability to changing priorities.

Desired Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Proven experience qualifying and automating

Arista EOS networks at scale

with CloudVision Portal.

Hands‑on experience with

Terraform

for network automation.

CCIE (Data Center or Routing & Switching)

certification.

Background in

large‑scale data center deployments .

Familiarity with

network monitoring and telemetry tools .
