Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position with oncology patients and required Epic EMR experience.
Responsibilities
Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit with an oncology patient population
Continuous cardiac monitoring provided, particularly for patients undergoing chemotherapy
Handles soft tissue malignancy cases, symptom management, and comorbidities
Patient ratio is 1:4
Uses B450 monitors with GE telemetry system, bladder scanner, Alaris pumps, and Stryker beds
Epic EMR experience required
Day and night 12-hour shifts available (7:00-19:30 or 19:00-7:30)
Floating required within units of equivalent or lower acuity
Oncology experience preferred but not required
Duties focus on infection prevention and fall prevention protocols
Responsible for managing both treatment side effects and comorbidities
Will assist with chest tube insertion and removal as needed
Requirements
Active OH or Compact RN license required
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification required
Epic EMR experience required
Skills in dysrhythmia interpretation, port access, arterial line management, blood product administration, central and PICC line management, IV starts, assisting with chest tube procedures, high flow nasal cannula, and ABG interpretation
Previous travel experience preferred
