Post Anesthesia Care Unit Nurse (PACU RN)

PACU RN’s monitor post-operation vital signs, levels of consciousness, and assure patients safely wake from anesthesia after surgery. PACU RN’s treat pain, nausea, and other patient post-op symptoms, and any side effects of anesthesia. PACU RN’s work in the post-Anesthesia care unit at a hospital; can also be known as the recovery room.
Education/Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN): 4-Year Education
Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN): 2-Year Education
You must earn an ADN or BSN degree and pass the NCLEX to apply for a license as an RN.
RN’s can only work with an active state license.
ACLS, CPAN and PALS are often required
*Per Diem Shifts Available Recent Experience Required.
