Registered Nurse - Emergency Services
Provides direct patient care in the Emergency Department using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Reports to the Director or Manager of Department.
Patient Populations Served: Neonate, Infant, Early Childhood, Late Childhood, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, Older Adult.
$20,000 sign‑on bonus available for qualified applicants.
Full Time: 3x12 hour shifts one week and 3x12 hour shifts the next week, Nights (2p - 2a), rotating weekends.
How you’ll contribute:
Initial and ongoing assessment of patient’s condition.
Establish plan of care appropriate to problems identified and involve patient according to capabilities and desires.
Perform plan of care intervention: medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatment.
Document patient care given.
Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
Assist patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provide patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
Advocate for physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.

What we’re looking for:
Current Tennessee Registered Nurse license required.
Basic Life Support certification required at the time of hire.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support required within 6 months of hire or transferring departments.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support required within 6 months of hire or transferring departments.
Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
