STUDENT AND ACADEMIC SERVICES MANAGER - (T232208)
Description
To manage and coordinate student academic services within the Graduate School. To audit and award degrees for graduate students who have applied to graduate by reconciling student transcript with degree requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Advise students about Accelerated Learning Opportunities (Early Acceptance, Accelerated Bachelor/Masters, and Fast Track) and GradLink programs
Respond to inquiries from students, parents, faculty, and others regarding program policies, prerequisites, and requirements; make referrals as appropriate
Assist students with the application process through Salesforce; oversee admissions decision processing after graduate programs have submitted recommendations to the Graduate School; ensure student records are integrated correctly with Banner
Coordinate and oversee on‑campus recruiting events for current UAB students
Manage program‑specific communication and work with recruiting staff to promote participating graduate programs
Maintain accurate enrollment data; ensure credit is applied correctly in Banner and GPS
Ensure program‑specific information on the Graduate School website and UAB Graduate Catalog is accurate
Work with academic units to recruit new ALO and GradLink programs and establish program requirements
Perform other duties as assigned.
Salary range: $47,665 - max $61,965 non‑negotiable
Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Education, Counseling, or related field and three (3) years or related experience. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
