Role Mission
To drive research and development in Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN), focusing on the integration of satellite communication systems with 5G and future 6G networks. This role will explore novel architectures and solutions for providing ubiquitous and resilient connectivity.
Key Responsibilities
Perform research on NTN-specific wireless algorithms and techniques (e.g. regenerative payload, Doppler compensation, DU/CU handovers) for 5G/6G RAN stack
Deal with satellite systems and their integration with terrestrial networks
Track/analyze relevant industry standards relevant to NTN
Design and simulate NTN scenarios, evaluating performance and identifying challenges.
Collaborate with internal and external partners on NTN-related projects.
Investigate the application of NTN in special purpose systems (e.g., tactical communications, FRMCS, mission-critical).
Requirements
Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer/Telecommunication Engineering
Strong background in 5G/6 networks.
Good understanding of satellite systems and relevant standards (3GPP)
Experience in NTN simulation tool(s)
Good command of English.
Nice-to-Have
Understanding of special purpose communication systems (the use of NTN with tactical, FRMCS, MCX solutions)
About IS-Wireless IS-Wireless is a top European
deep-tech innovator , awarded the
EIC Seal of Excellence
and holder of 10+ patents. As a
NATO DIANA 2025
innovator, we operate as a dual-use company, building
ultra-resilient, secure and resource-efficient 5G networks
for both industrial and tactical applications.
Our patented
Liquid RAN technology
represents a new generation of open, disaggregated radio access designed for exceptional reliability, flexibility, and resource efficiency. It enables rapid restoration and redeployment of base stations, even in volatile or degraded environments.
We value
creative problem-solvers, unconventional thinkers and deep domain experts
who thrive in demanding scenarios.
