At Keros, our mission is to deliver significant clinical benefit to patients with disorders linked to the transforming growth factor-beta (TGF‑β) superfamily. We focus on developing product candidates that modulate TGF‑β signaling to target pathways critical for blood cell and tissue maintenance.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an accomplished Research Informatics Specialist for a dual‑function position that integrates technical proficiency with strategic business collaboration. The role acts as a liaison between Research and CMC, engaging with IT teams to develop, implement, and maintain technical solutions, and proactively identifies informatics‑driven innovation opportunities.
Primary Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across informatics systems and hardware.
Design, develop, and maintain informatics platforms, data pipelines, and integration frameworks.
Ensure systems are scalable, secure, and optimized for performance.
Serve as point of contact for data governance across Research & Development.
Collaborate with vendors and internal teams for upgrades, support, and innovation.
Evaluate and select systems based on user and business needs.
Develop training materials and conduct sessions for scientific staff.
Partner with scientific stakeholders to understand needs and identify informatics opportunities.
Support cross‑functional initiatives that leverage scientific data to drive business value.
Advocate for data management and informatics capabilities across departments.
Support development of business intelligence dashboards, reports, and analytics tools.
Partner with scientific and technical teams to ensure IT infrastructure supports complex data analysis and advanced workflows.
Monitor system performance and user feedback to drive continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications
BS/BA in life sciences with 6+ years of industry experience, or MS/MA with 4+ years.
Experience with Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
Scientific understanding of key processes in biologics drug discovery & CMC.
Experience analyzing data using standard scientific techniques.
Knowledge of FAIR data management best practices.
Proficiency in SQL and data modeling & management.
Experience with BI tools and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
Familiarity with Egnyte, Spotfire, LabGuru ELN.
Proficiency in Python and R.
Pay Range:
$100 – $100 USD (hourly/annual base rate will vary by experience).
