Job Description If you are an enthusiastic self-starter with a passion for cars, then we want you to be part of our team as a Sales Specialist. The ideal sales specialist is comfortable relating to our guests and is knowledgeable about our vehicles and services, the industry, and our market, including vehicle selection, performance, accessories, safety features, and functions as well as financing options for new and pre-owned vehicle inventories. The Sales Specialist presents vehicles to guests in a professional and highly informative fashion that promotes a positive and accommodating guest purchase experience and maintains an ongoing relationship with clients to encourage networking and repeat business.
The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, some education beyond high school, auto sales experience, excellent customer service skills, a confident and outgoing personality, a professional appearance, and great communication skills. Candidates must be self-motivated with a willingness to continuously prospect and establish and maintain relationships with clients. Spanish speaking a plus.
Responsibilities
Welcomes each guest with a prompt and enthusiastic greeting and accompanies the guest on a tour of the Dealership
Determines the guest’s needs by conducting a needs assessment
Competently, thoroughly, and enthusiastically presents our inventory while having the requisite knowledge to conduct a thorough explanation of the selected vehicle and overcome objections
Initiates the steps for an appraisal of a trade-in vehicle
Presents selected vehicle for a demonstration drive and feature/benefit presentation and answers the guest’s questions and addresses any concerns about the vehicle
Introduces all guests who have made the decision to purchase a vehicle to the Dimmitt Service Department
Engages the guest in the delivery of the vehicle, ensuring that the guest is familiar with all operations and features of the vehicle
Establishes self as the point of contact for any future product questions or needs
Regularly tracks changing vehicle market conditions, values, activities, and incentives
Keeps abreast of incoming inventory, features, accessories, and technological changes and how they may benefit guests
Participates in special events such as auto shows and other opportunities to represent the Dimmitt brand
Regularly attends and actively participates in new vehicle meetings as required
Commits to obtaining team and personal objectives
Utilizes the CRM and maintains a documented plan to accomplish daily, monthly, and annual objectives including recording all guest visits
Follows an effective prospecting system daily using a variety of contacts including follow-up contacts with prior purchasers
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred
Sales experience with verifiable proof of meeting sales targets
Ability to build relationships with guests, associates, and all levels of leadership
Passionate and energetic team member who is innovative, proactive, and focused on quality and serving
Positive, enthusiastic, and professional image
Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and in person including active listening
Benefits Group Benefits eligibility for full-time associates is 1st of month after 60 days. The plan includes:
Subsidized Health Insurance with eligibility the first of the month following 60 days of service
Company funded Group Term Life and matching AD&D in the amount of $5,000.00
PTO available with cashout option after the completion of 1 year of service
Paid holidays after the completion of 90 days of service
