Raleigh, NC , with occasional travel to our U.S. and Canadian manufacturing facilities. How You’ll Make an Impact Design mechanical components for distribution transformers and related products. Prepare detailed designs and documentation aligned with project requirements. Develop innovative concepts to meet customer needs. Collaborate across teams—sales, supply chain, manufacturing—for seamless execution. Drive cost optimization initiatives without compromising quality. Evaluate design performance and cost accuracy to ensure efficiency. Provide technical guidance and solve complex engineering challenges. Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. Your Background Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Minimum 2 years of design engineering experience in the power industry; transformer experience preferred. Skilled in CREO, 3D modeling, simulations, and finite element analysis. Familiarity with industry standards (IEEE, ANSI, NEMA, UL, CSA). Strong understanding of design-to-cost and design-to-manufacturing principles. Proficient in MS Office; SAP experience is a plus.
