We are seeking an experienced
Electrical Engineer IV- Sustainability
to support districtwide capital construction, modernization, and sustainability projects under the BuildLACCD Bond Program.
*Salary Range: $140K/Year-$150K/Year - Dependent on Candidate's Qualifications
Hybrid Schedule: One (1) work-from-home (WFH) day per week
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support sustainability-focused electrical engineering projects under LACCD’s Bond Program
Support electrification of central plants and building systems aligned with the District’s Clean Energy Resolution
Apply sustainable building principles to resolve complex, system-level electrical issues
Support districtwide initiatives including energy master planning, carbon reduction, grid resiliency, and electrification
Perform electrical engineering analysis and prepare technical reports supporting District design guidelines
Ensure integration of advanced systems such as LED lighting, PV, BESS, EV charging, microgrids, and smart controls
Coordinate with Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams to meet project requirements and schedules
Provide technical review and peer support for RFCs, change orders, and other project documentation
Participate in all phases of capital projects, from planning and design through construction and closeout
Attend project and construction meetings at various sites as required
Qualifications Required
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
10+ years of professional electrical engineering experience in design, construction, or facilities infrastructure projects
Strong knowledge of California Energy Codes, Title 24, NEC, CALGreen (CCR Part 11), and applicable electrical engineering standards
Preferred
Experience with educational facility construction
Experience and/or certification with LEED and/or CHPS projects California Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering
