About the Role At NorthBay Health, Registered Nurses in the Intensive Care Unit deliver safe, effective, high-quality patient care grounded in Jean Watson’s Theory of Caring, Relationship-Based Care, and NorthBay’s professional nursing practice model. In this role, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care of patients entrusted to you. Using a therapeutic and professional approach, you will partner with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team to promote, maintain, and restore health.

Education

Graduate from an accredited school of professional registered nursing.

BSN level or higher nursing degree is required (excludes grandfathered employees).

License and Certification

Valid, current and unencumbered RN license issued by the State of California.

Current AHA or AHA equivalent BLS and ACLS.

Telemetry certification within 3 months of employment.

TNCC certification within 18 months of hire (or provide proof if obtained prior).

National Certification in Critical Care preferred.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills

Minimum six months of acute care (hospital) RN experience; one year in ICU preferred.

Competent in providing skilled registered nursing care to ICU level patients.

Demonstrates skills in patient assessment, safe medication utilization, and arrhythmia interpretation.

Capable of working independently.

Proficient written, verbal, and electronic communication skills.

Interpersonal Skills

Other Requirements

All RNs in the Patient Care Services Department are required to wear Graphite (Dark Gray) colored scrubs per the professional appearance policy.

Compensation

Hourly Salary Range: $77.39 – $93.32 (offered hourly rate based on years of experience).
