Responsibilities Utilize positive reinforcement and antecedent manipulation to increase appropriate behaviors
Assist in planning, implementation, and documentation of programs designed to meet the social, emotional, physical, and personal needs of adults served
Assist, instruct, and support individuals with daily living activities, including cooking, cleaning, budgeting, bill pay, grocery shopping, and personal hygiene
Accompany individuals on community outings, medical appointments, and other activities as directed
Must be willing to work with individuals with challenging and/or aggressive behaviors
Must be willing to provide hygienic care to both males and females
General shifts: 7 am‑3 pm, 3 pm‑11 pm, 11 pm‑7 am (with $1 shift differential). One weekend shift per week required. Part‑time and full‑time positions for all shifts available.
Pay: $20/Hour, $21/Hour for overnightsn Qualifications
One year of human service experience working with children, adolescents, or adults (required)
High school diploma or GED (required)
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (preferred)
Must be able to pass thorough background checks & Livescan
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (required)
One weekend shift per week required
For part‑time, available 3 shifts per week (24 hrs)
Must be willing to work with adults who may exhibit challenging and/or aggressive behaviors
Must be willing to provide hygiene care to adults served (males and females)
Ideal candidate will be empathetic, a team player, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, understand the theories of behavior management, utilize positive reinforcement, and represent themselves as a positive role model.
Physical requirements: Significant amounts of walking, sitting, and standing; some lifting and/or managing resistance required up to 75‑100 lbs; occasional use of computers and office equipment; occasional driving of Devereux vehicles for business purposes; ability to meet 100% mastery of Safe and Positive Approaches.
