R25094731**Summary****Job Description:****Surgical Tech-OR**Full Time I First ShiftOperating Room I Lexington, KY**$15,000 Sign on Bonus Available for Qualified Individuals.**Baptist Health Lexington Surgical Services Department encompasses several key areas: the Pre-Op Department, 20 operating rooms with a business office staff responsible for scheduling, a Postoperative Care Unit, an Endoscopy Department with dedicated pre- and post-op areas, and a Sterile Processing Department.**Description:*** Functions as a member of the surgical team under the direction of the registered nurse. Performs scrub functions and other roles, which support the perioperative plan of care Demonstrates knowledge of operative procedures.* Demonstrates knowledge of and utilizes principles of aseptic technique including but not limited to gowning, gloving sterilization, and disinfection.* Actively participates in unit activities.* Ensures positive customer relations interactions.* On call weekends, weeknights, and holidays by rotation.**Requirements:*** Technical Diploma; Associate degree.* Completion of a Surgical Technology program.* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
