Job Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a high-risk Antepartum unit night shift position requiring AWHONN Advanced, BLS, and NRP certifications.
Responsibilities
Work in a high-risk Antepartum hospital unit caring for patients from 6 to 41 weeks gestation
Patient population includes PTL, previa, preeclampsia, diabetes, hypertension, PROM, multiple gestations, substance use disorder during pregnancy, and fetal demise
Float required to Postpartum unit
Night shift schedule, working three 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30
Care provided for antepartum and postpartum mothers, with no newborns on the unit
Unit supports procedures such as amniocentesis or sterile speculum exam at the bedside
Uses PCA pumps, PICC/central lines, syringe pumps, and manages Heparin, Insulin, and Magnesium Sulfate infusions
Epic EMR system used, experience required
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Must be willing to float between all facilities within the state if needed
Returning staff from other Providence facilities (not Swedish) must be separated for at least 3 months before being eligible as travelers
Candidates cannot reside within 50 miles of the facility for consideration
Scrubs of any color allowed, but provided when floating to Labor & Delivery units
Minimal or no RTO is preferred and any requests for time off must be disclosed during submission; requests after offer may be denied
Must care for complex antepartum and postpartum patients, including those experiencing fetal loss or with babies in the NICU
Requirements
Active WA or Compact RN license required
Minimum of 2 years recent Antepartum nursing experience required
AWHONN Advanced, BLS, and NRP certifications required
Experience with C-section circulation is required
Intermediate AWHONN candidates will be considered after manager review
References must cover one year of recent employment in a comparable specialty or setting
Epic charting experience required
