Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Project Manager
to oversee
pipeline maintenance and repair projects
at our San Juan terminal. This role requires hands‑on expertise in pipeline integrity, welding practices, contractor oversight, and project budgeting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end‑to‑end execution of maintenance projects, with a strong focus on safety, compliance, and operational continuity in a high‑risk industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead planning, execution, and close‑out of pipeline maintenance and repair projects—both preventive and corrective in nature.
Oversee inspection, repair, and replacement of pipelines, valves, supports, and welded components in accordance with
ASME codes
and internal standards.
Coordinate and manage multiple contractors, ensuring work is performed safely, on time, and within scope.
Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, procurement plans, and progress tracking reports.
Ensure strict adherence to company safety policies, permit‑to‑work systems, and regulatory requirements.
Conduct or supervise welding inspections, hydrostatic testing, and other NDT activities relevant to pipeline integrity.
Liaise with terminal operations, HSE, engineering, and procurement to align on execution windows and minimize downtime.
Prepare and present project status updates, forecasts, and post‑project evaluations to senior management.
Maintain detailed documentation, including drawings, inspection records, contractor submittals, and change orders.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field.
Minimum
5–7 years
of project management experience in
pipeline maintenance, welding , or industrial facility repair.
Strong knowledge of
ASME standards
(e.g., B31.3, B31.4, B31.8) and piping design/fabrication principles.
Experience managing
welding scopes , repairs, and inspection protocols (e.g., radiography, ultrasonic, pressure testing).
Proven ability to manage multiple contractors and subcontractors in an industrial or petrochemical setting.
Skilled in preparing and managing project budgets, timelines, and change orders.
Familiarity with industry tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project, SAP, Maximo, or similar systems).
Excellent communication skills in
English and Spanish .
Knowledge of OSHA regulations and industrial safety programs is strongly preferred.
PMP certification or formal project management training is a plus.
