In this strategic role, you’ll oversee vital regulatory programs and partner across the organization to ensure First Financial Bank meets and exceeds expectations under the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA). This position can be structured as remote or hybrid , offering flexibility while staying connected to a highly collaborative and purpose-driven team. WhatYou’llDo Lead CRA & HMDA Compliance: Oversee the bank’s CRA and HMDA programs to ensure regulatory alignment and performance excellence. Manage Reporting Processes: Supervise accurate collection, validation, and submission of Loan Application Register (LAR) data for HMDA reporting. Chair the CRA Committee: Guide the committee’s agenda, lead discussions, and ensure alignment with community development objectives. Analyze Lending Performance: Develop and maintain statistical analysis of CRA-related lending, investments, and services, with emphasis on low-to-moderate income areas. Collaborate Across Departments: Partner with business units, compliance, risk, and audit teams to assess trends, manage risks, and enhance community outreach. Support Regulatory Examinations: Serve as the bank’s liaison with examiners for CRA and Fair Lending reviews and maintain thorough documentation. Monitor Regulatory Changes: Track evolving CRA, HMDA, and Fair Lending regulations and recommend updates to programs and policies as needed. Promote Fair Lending Practices: Support internal fair lending monitoring and analysis, including redlining, underwriting, pricing, and denial trend reviews. Recommend Program Enhancements: Evaluate CRA product effectiveness and propose strategic improvements to better serve target communities. WhatWe’reLooking For Bachelor’s degree in business or finance or equivalent experience Regulatory compliance experience with strong knowledge of CRA, HMDA, and Fair Lending laws and regulations Experience using fair lending tools (e.g., Questsoft , Marquis, WIZ, N contracts ) Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into action Excellent written and verbal communication skills Self-starter able to manage complex programs independently Ability to collaborate with all levels of the organization and regulatory bodies Ability occasionally to work locations within driving distance. Ability to remain in a stationary position for up to 75% of an eight (8) hour workday. Ability to review information and details at close range (within a few feet).
