Security Specialist Location: Austin, TX 73301 US (Primary)

EPS Corporation is seeking a Security Specialist that serves as key personnel providing senior-level security expertise across multiple security disciplines in support of classified government programs. This role applies broad, in-depth knowledge of personnel, information, physical, industrial, and operations security to develop, implement, analyze, and enforce security policies and procedures. Under the guidance and direction of the AFC HQs Command Security Manager (CSM) and Special Security Officer (SSO), the Security Specialist develops, enforces, analyzes, and interprets security policies, procedures, and directives to ensure compliance with DoD, Army, and AFC security requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Apply comprehensive expertise in

Personnel, Information, Physical, Industrial, and Classification Management

security disciplines.

Develop, implement, and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards in accordance with DoD, Army, and AFC regulations.

Analyze and interpret security directives and guidance to ensure consistent application across AFC HQs organizations.

Support personnel security processes, including clearance verification, access eligibility, visit requests, and security indoctrinations.

Manage information and classification security, ensuring proper marking, handling, safeguarding, storage, and transmission of classified materials.

Conduct security reviews, self-inspections, and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions.

Provide physical security support, including facility access control, coordination of security measures, and compliance inspections.

Support industrial security requirements for contractors and vendors, as applicable.

Prepare and deliver security briefings, training, and awareness programs for military, civilian, and contractor personnel.

Coordinate closely with the Command Security Manager and Special Security Officer on sensitive security matters and special access requirements.

Maintain accurate security records and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

Demonstrated experience across multiple security disciplines: Personnel, Information, Physical, Industrial, and Classification Management.

Strong working knowledge of DoD and Army security regulations (e.g., DoDM 5200 series, AR 380 series).

Ability to analyze, interpret, and apply complex security policies and guidance.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently while supporting senior security leadership.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Intelligence Studies, Security Studies, Computer Science, Criminal Justice, or a related field

OR completion of formal military or DoD intelligence training may be substituted for the education requirement

Experience

Minimum of six (6) years of relevant security experience with a qualifying degree

OR eleven (11) years of relevant experience with military or DoD training
