Posting Summary Postdoctoral Associate to conduct research on oncogenic enhancer regions and the interplay between metabolism and epigenetics in T-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia using mouse models. Draft reports for manuscripts and grant proposals.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct research experiments to understand oncogenic and tumor suppressor enhancers and the metabolism/epigenetics interplay.

Work with mouse models in vivo and perform FACS analyses.

Prepare written reports of research experiments.

Prepare grant proposals based on research conducted.

Give oral presentations of research.

Assist with instructing and training students, fellows, lower-level professionals, and technicians.

Salary and Benefits Salary range: $61,805 – $200,000 (commensurate with experience). Competitive and flexible compensation packages.

Qualifications

Ph.D. and/or M.D. in a relevant science, finishing training (following residency/fellowship).

Experience with FACS analyses or ability to learn technique.

Effective oral and written communication skills.

Computer literate; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

Background in cancer biology research.

Experience with mouse colony management and mouse experiments in vivo.

Computer literate; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint (additional).

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Standing, sitting, walking, talking and hearing.

No special vision requirements.

Lifting up to 25 lbs.

Laboratory environment. Moderate noise.

Exposure to blood, excrement, antineoplastic drugs, and possible exposure to infectious and communicable diseases.

Universal precautions are mandatory. Exposure to hazardous chemicals.
