Primary Purpose Supports the university's mission by assisting in the development, implementation, and maintenance of a comprehensive compliance program. Collaborates with various departments to ensure all operations align with federal, state, and local laws, as well as university and system policies, to prevent, detect, and correct non-compliance.

Essential Job Functions

1. Performs compliance program evaluations and reviews.

2. Aids in the tracking and reporting on program effectiveness and improvements.

3. Guides compliance activities organization-wide.

4. Assists in executing and tracking the annual compliance workplan and reporting status.

5. Aids in drafting and updating compliance specific policies and procedures.

6. Tracks and communicates approved operational policies and procedures to stakeholders.

7. Conducts risk assessments and evaluations.

8. Aids in the monitoring and reporting of risk management activities and progress.

9. Guides operational areas to assess impact and determine necessary actions for identified regulatory changes.

10. Aids in the monitoring, reporting and assessment of compliance with regulatory changes.

11. Investigates and tracks status of reported concerns or violations ensuring prompt resolution according to established turnaround time.

12. Communicates investigation findings to relevant parties.

13. Plans and determines scope of compliance audits.

14. Conducts fieldwork and testing compliance controls.

15. Documents audit findings and observations.

16. Collects and analyzes compliance data and metrics.

17. Prepares reports for core compliance activities to inform management and stakeholders.

18. Tracks compliance performance against established KPIs, identifying trends and patterns in the data.

19. Assists in investigating reported compliance concerns, gathering information, and conducting interviews.

20. Documents investigation findings and recommendations.

21. Performs root cause analyses of compliance deficiencies or violations.

22. Develops and documents compliance specific corrective action plans.

23. Monitors the effectiveness of implemented corrective action measures.

24. Designs and develops compliance training materials.

25. Monitors and performs audits ad hoc based on corrective action plan timelines and/or business needs.

26. Maintains accurate compliance files, logs, and documentation.

27. Stays informed about basic compliance standards relevant to the industry.

28. Attends meetings, educational conferences, and training workshops and serves on committees.

29. Participates in college and university committee activities as assigned.

30. Maintains data integrity and confidentiality.

31. Completes special projects as assigned.

32. Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Job Requirements Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Knowledge:

Required Certifications/Licenses Required Education Bachelor's Degree

Major (if required) Required Experience Two (2) to four (4) years of related experience.
