Job Description
Provide enterprise systems and network administration, ensuring reliable infrastructure operations, security hardening, virtualization support, and cloud workload management/migration. Key Responsibilities
Administer and support LAN/WAN infrastructure, protocols, and performance tuning. Manage remote access, VPN security, and core services (DHCP, DNS, directory services). Perform system hardening and apply security methods (firewalls, DMZs, encryption, endpoint protections). Maintain server/client OS environments; use diagnostic tools and command-line utilities (e.g., ipconfig, netstat). Support virtualization/VM management and cloud deployment/service models; migrate workloads as needed. Qualifications (Citizenship, Education, Experience, Skills)
Experience: 4+ years of system management experience. Skills (examples explicitly called out):
Networking and troubleshooting tools (ping, traceroute, nslookup). File systems (NTFS/FAT/EXT), OS maintenance procedures, diagnostic/fault isolation. Security methods (firewalls/DMZ/encryption), OS/network hardening, antivirus/antispyware. Cloud models (SaaS/IaaS/PaaS) and deployments (private/public/hybrid).
Required DoD Systems, Tools, and Framework Experience
Office tools: Ability to produce/maintain documentation and operational records supporting administration and maintenance activities. Scheduling/Tracking systems: Use of diagnostic tools and operational workflows to identify/resolve faults. Security/Information handling: Experience applying organizational user security policies (account management/access control) and data security standards (PII/PCI/PHI) plus hardening techniques.
