Full Circle Grief Center
Full Circle’s mission is to provide comprehensive, professional bereavement support to children, adults, families, and the community. Full Circle was started in September 2008 as a comprehensive grief resource center in the Richmond area to help meet the needs of grieving children (ages 3-18) and their families. The Center provides grief counseling groups, consulting services, and bereavement educational programs. In Fall 2018, Full Circle added individual counseling to our menu of services.
Job Description Seeking an experienced mental health clinician to facilitate an adult grief support group. Responsibilities include:
Facilitate 8-week counseling group for adults who are grieving the death of a loved one
Keep progress notes on each client after each group session
Provide bereavement educational information and appropriate referrals for members of group
Consult with children’s group leaders to implement a support plan for entire family
Provide clinical case management for each client during duration of 8-week group
Total Hours 2-3 hours per week for 8 weeks. Groups meet in the evening from 6-7:30 PM, once a week for 8 weeks.
Work Experience Requirements A minimum of two years of experience working with adults in a mental health setting. Knowledge of the grief process (as related to adults and their families) is preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience facilitating groups. Candidate must have the ability to run groups in the evening, work in a team with other clinicians, and exhibit genuine kindness and compassion towards clients.
Education Requirements Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or other related field is required. A current license in a mental health field (i.e. LCSW, LPC, Licensed School Counselor, Licensed Clinical Psychologist, etc.) is preferred.
