Security Officer – Access Control Monitor
– Winston Salem, NC As an Access Control Officer, you will help deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, controlling entry points, and providing a visible presence. Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized individuals. Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating as appropriate. Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity. Document and report security-related incidents, unusual observations, and/or policy violations according to Allied Universal protocols. Assist with emergency response activities in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal guidelines. Collaborate with location staff and law enforcement as needed to address security-related concerns. Minimum Requirements
At least 2 years of security-related experience are required. A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located. Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age. Alarm panel experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
