Position Summary: The School Mental Health Collaborative (SMHC) is seeking a full‑time Applications Developer II with expertise in Full Stack Development to join a multidisciplinary team dedicated to advancing educational decision‑making tools and supporting school mental health services through impactful digital solutions. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design, develop, and maintain web applications that enhance the SMHC's digital presence and operational capacity.

Minimum Qualifications: This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field. Education may substitute for experience. Requires proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

Familiarity with machine learning models, simulations, and event modeling.

Experience with iOS and Android application development.

Knowledge of Section 508 compliance for digital accessibility.

Degree Equivalency Clause: Four years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree. Senate Bill 1310—The Florida Senate (https://www.flsenate.gov/Session/Bill/2023/1310) is conditional upon meeting all employment eligibility requirements in the U.S. SB 1310: Substitution of Work Experience for Postsecondary Education Requirements. A public employer may include a postsecondary degree as a baseline requirement only as an alternative to the number of years of direct experience required, not to exceed: (a) Two years of direct experience for an associate degree; (b) Four years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree; (c) Six years of direct experience for a master's degree; (d) Seven years of direct experience for a professional degree; or (e) Nine years of direct experience for a doctoral degree. Related work experience may not substitute for any required licensure, certification, or registration required for the position of employment as established by the public employer and indicated in the advertised description of the position of employment. Minimum Qualifications that require a high school diploma are exempt from SB 1310.

Position Duties:

Design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications and interfaces, including websites, data dashboards, and databases.

Build and optimize digital assets, including illustrations, icons, and other multimedia resources, to support SMHC's digital presence.

Collaborate with researchers, product developers, and content creators to ensure web interfaces meet project requirements and align with SMHC's mission.

Conduct regular code reviews and testing to ensure optimal functionality and adherence to accessibility and data security standards (HIPAA/FERPA).

Participate in project brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas for enhancing SMHC's digital footprint and user engagement.

Performs other duties as assigned.
