Job Description
The Systems and Technology Planning Manager will focus on the management of technology projects, resource management including budgets and coordination of resources, strategic planning, and serve as a technology liaison between Gwinnett ITS, Water Resources, and other county departments as needed on technology initiatives.
Essential Duties
Technology management
IT infrastructure, software applications, and licensing.
Upgrades and new implementations.
Project leadership
Overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of complex IT projects including managing project scope and timelines.
Resource management
Build relationships and allocate resources effectively.
Other Job Requirements
Strong technical understanding and application to business processes.
Excellent communications skills and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to drive complex initiatives and manage diverse stakeholders.
Grade : The grade for this position is C52(1). Salary will be dependent on education and experience.
Effective 4/11/2023, this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a closely related field; AND
Five years of planning experience, including two years of supervisory experience; OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.
Valid Driver's License from state of residency
Preferred Qualifications
Proven experience as an IT Manager, IT Analyst, IT Consultant, or similar role
Experience in project management
Experience documenting technical requirements
Experience with technology infrastructure projects involving fiber, network connectivity, wireless access, and general network connectivity
Experience with technology software projects involving various software applications, as well as management of applications.
Proficiency in MS applications – Visio, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
