Duties / Responsibilities

Develop long‑term relationships with current and prospective clients to grow the landscape business.

Establish target properties/clients through market research, canvassing, cold calling, building relationships, and internal lead generation.

Qualify properties/clients, identify key decision makers, and collect property intelligence.

Coordinate with the Director of Landscape Construction and operations to develop mutually beneficial proposal packages.

Work with the central estimating and operations teams to generate estimates in Aspire and ensure a full understanding of scope, client needs, budgets, and timelines.

Manage Aspire and other integrated software systems to maximize sales performance.

Create and manage tasks to track communication, meetings, and information on new and pending opportunities.

Build and maintain a sales pipeline.

Prepare, submit, and present proposal packages to clients and negotiate contracts.

Drive the end‑to‑end sales process and ensure a smooth transition from contract execution to operations.

Attend and participate in sales and operations meetings regularly to align strategic focus.

Provide weekly/monthly updates to management and operations.

Attend networking events, set up meetings with potential clients, and perform regular cold calling.

Manage expenses and budget.

Qualifications

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Detail‑oriented, organized, and time‑management proficient.

Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.

Positive attitude, honesty, hard work, and a team mentality.

Proficiency with MS Office Suite; Aspire software knowledge is a plus.

Excellent sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation skills.

Knowledge of sales cycle and solution selling techniques.

Thorough understanding of the company’s services, products, history, ownership structure, safety program, and reputation.

Proficiency in prospecting techniques to generate interest with prospective clients.

Ability to speak and present professionally in group settings.

Education and Experience

BSc/BA in business administration, sales, or relevant field preferred but not required.

3–5 years of sales experience.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to travel.

Overnight stays may be required.

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift 15 pounds.
