Musselman & Hall Contractors seeks a Project Manager to lead projects ensuring they are completed safely, efficiently, profitably, and with the high quality standards the company is known for.
Responsibilities
Track and own all aspects of a job, including schedules, critical project activities, materials, manpower, subcontractors, etc.
Proactively manage project cost reports and analyze budget variances, making adjustments as necessary to positively impact the job's financial performance.
Communicate the status of projects, implement strategies, and align resources to facilitate successful completion.
Continuously communicate project status to customers (direct clients and/or General Contractors) and serve as the main point of contact for all billings/collections, change orders, schedules, and other customer needs.
Communicate with all project stakeholders in a timely and effective manner, including coordinating with other departments (Admin, Field Operations, Pre‑Construction, Safety, etc.) for successful job completion.
Establish and maintain positive and proactive business relationships with existing and potential customers and assigned accounts.
Facilitate revenue growth for assigned accounts and the company by identifying opportunities for work and tracking them accordingly.
Perform project administrative duties from project handoff to project close.
Support and enforce M&H policies and procedures, partnering with the Safety Team as necessary to ensure employees return home safely.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Act with integrity, professionalism, confidentiality, and in accordance with Musselman and Hall policies and values.
Demonstrate attention to detail, time management, ability to meet deadlines, and organizational skills.
Have knowledge of industrial and/or commercial construction applicable to the Division.
Possess strong business acumen, negotiation skills, and understanding of project financials (estimating, budgeting, billables, production rates, man‑hours, etc.).
Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Have strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Work successfully in a fast‑paced environment.
Be proficient in Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite, and quickly learn project management software such as HubSpot, Vista, and other in‑house systems.
Experience & Education
3 or more years of relevant experience, including estimating and managing industrial and/or commercial construction projects.
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Business strongly preferred.
Proficiency in construction and project management software, Microsoft Office, and/or Google Suite required.
Physical Demands
Ability to regularly attend work in an office environment.
Ability to spend prolonged periods of time sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Ability to drive to various job locations.
Ability to safely navigate active job sites around heavy equipment and in varying weather conditions.
Other Requirements
Full‑time hours are required; most work will be performed on weekdays during normal business hours. Hours may fluctuate based on project necessity.
Regular site visits throughout the project duration are required.
Some travel to other M&H office locations may be required.
