Position Overview The Boeing Company’s Specialized U.S. Infrastructure Operations (SUSIO) Organization is currently seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Mid-Level Systems Administrator to join the team in Berkeley, MO. This position will install, operate, secure and maintain dedicated Program Information Technology (IT) Infrastructure that is required to deliver products to our customers.

Responsibilities

Analyze and support a broad range of basic systems and application support activities

Provide support for Windows Operating Systems (OS)

Provide basic network support

Support VMware Environmental Sensor Effects (ESX) environments

Provide operations support for both servers and desktop systems

Provide analysis of computing requirements

Install, configure, and maintain systems hardware, software and components

Ensure computing inventory tracking and shipping

Document and implement computer applications

Provide restoration of basic computing service operation

Support activities to ensure security of information and systems

Provide comprehensive computing support in closed environments

Protect classified and proprietary information

Support security audits as assigned

Maintain knowledge of various government and corporate security plans

Basic Qualifications

Current CompTIA Security+ certification

3+ years of experience in VMware Virtualization

3+ years of experience in performing hardware installation, modification and testing

3+ years of experience designing, developing, and implementing secure Active Directory Domain Services (ADDS) solutions

3+ years of experience with Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems (Server 2016-2022 Windows 10)

Experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering current Windows Server 2022 - 2025 and Desktop Operating Systems - Windows 11

Experience with hands‑on support with IT Hardware such as setting up, configuring, modifying and troubleshooting switches, routers, network equipment, high performance computing equipment, server racks

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of experience designing & implementing Windows Systems

3+ years of experience troubleshooting operating system and installation problems

3+ years of experience with a broad range of basic systems and application support

Experience with maintaining/configuring AD to include applying domain group policies

Experience with scripts to automate deployment and configuration of operating systems

Experience creating and maintaining multiple virtual servers based on VMware

Experience with NetBackup or Networker

Experience with Scaled Agile Framework or Agile Methodologies

Experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering support for Unix/Linux (Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)/Oracle) server/workstation

Experience evaluating and effectively communicating complex system problems and resolution

Experience integrating security solutions (McAfee, Splunk, Host Based Security System) into information systems

Pay & Benefits The specific programs and options available to any given employee may vary depending on eligibility factors such as geographic location, date of hire, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary pay range: $92,650 – $125,350.
