Job Description Responsibilities include operating all equipment, stocking ingredients from delivery area storage, work area, walk‑in cooler, preparing product, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory and completing associated paperwork, and cleaning equipment and facility approximately daily.
Training Orientation and training provided on the job.
Communication Skills
Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
Essential Functions / Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use a calculator).
Must be able to make correct monetary change.
Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
Motor coordination between eye and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed.
Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Work Conditions
Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing other outside tasks.
In‑store temperatures range from 36 °F in cooler to 90 °F and above in some work areas.
Sudden changes in temperature in work area and while outside.
Fumes from food odors.
Exposure to commercial dust.
Cramped quarters including walk‑in cooler.
Hot surfaces/tools from oven up to 500 °F or higher.
Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
Sensing
Talking and hearing on telephone.
Near and mid‑range vision for most in‑store tasks.
Depth perception.
Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
Temperaments
The ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
Physical Demands
Standing – Most tasks are performed from a standing position. Height of work surfaces is generally between 36" and 48".
Walking – Walking is generally in short distances for short durations.
Sitting – Paperwork is normally completed in an office at a desk or table.
Lifting – Bulk product deliveries (cases of ingredients and supplies) weighing up to 60 pounds with dimensions up to 3 ft × 1.5 ft. Cases are usually lifted from the floor and stacked on shelves up to 72" high.
Carrying – Large cans (≈3 lb 7 oz), occasional pizza sauce (≈30 lb), and trays of pizza dough (≈12 lb per tray) are carried over short distances. Trays on dollies (≈24–30" long) require 7.5 lb of force to push.
Pushing – Moving trays on dollies.
Climbing – Infrequent navigation of stairs or ladders; may need to climb five or more flights of stairs while delivering product.
Stoop/Bending – Forward bending at the waist necessary at the pizza assembly station and when stacking ingredients.
Crouching/ Squatting – Performed occasionally to stock shelves and to clean low areas.
Reaching – Continuously up, down, and forward, including above 72" to turn oven controls or change signs.
Hand Tasks – Eye‑hand coordination is essential. Use of hands is continuous, frequent pinching, and forceful use of forearms and wrists during pizza dough shaping, pizza peel handling, etc.
Machines, Tools, Equipment – Use of pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter, and pizza peel.
Delivery Job Duties
Deliver product by car to the door of the customer.
Deliver flyers and doorhangers or any marketing materials.
Additional Requirements for Delivery
Valid driver license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
Access to an insured vehicle used for delivery.
Navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within designated delivery area.
Must navigate adverse terrain including multi‑story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product.
Physical Demands for Delivery
Carrying – Carrying pizzas, sides, and beverages while walking and climbing.
Driving – Deliver company products within a designated delivery area; may make several deliveries per shift.
Walking – Travel between store, delivery vehicle, customer's location, and back.
Climbing – Navigation of five or more flights of stairs may be required during delivery.
Work Conditions – Delivery
Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when delivering product, driving, and couponing.
