Job Description A Day in the Life
A Technical Support Analyst is responsible for IT equipment implementation and support functions. Assists senior staff and project leaders in the configuration, maintenance and installation of IT equipment.
Provides operational support of technology and documents activities related to hardware/software service requests, installations and removals.
Maintains technical documentation of operational processes and procedures, including hardware and software inventories.
Monitors and processes tickets, troubleshoots and resolves hardware, operating system, application and desktop problems following documented procedures, and escalates complex issues to appropriate IS resources.
Prepares, installs and removes hardware and software, and connects hardware to the network.
Works with vendors or other IS staff to resolve application, operating system, desktop, network and hardware issues; performs pre‑defined functions during downtime procedures.
Maintains proper security, manages multiple tasks simultaneously without significant supervision, and provides ideas for improving customer service.
Performs analysis to solve business or technological issues with occasional guidance, and provides one‑on‑one education to users.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications What’s Required
Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in CIS, MIS, IS, Computer Science, Engineering or Business Administration with emphasis in information systems.
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in related field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, physics) with one‑year related experience.
Associate degree (or equivalent) in CIS, MIS, IS, Computer Science, Engineering or Business Administration with emphasis in information systems and two years of related experience.
High school diploma or GED with four years of experience equivalent in CIS, MIS, IS, Computer Science, Engineering or Business Administration with emphasis in information systems.
Additional Information Full‑time on‑site in Traverse City, Michigan.
Munson Healthcare requires all employees to be vaccinated or have lab‑confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella. MHC also requires all employees to receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption.
