Audit Senior Associate
Overview
Baker Tilly is a leading advisory, tax and assurance firm, with global presence in major U.S. regions and international financial centers. Baker Tilly US, LLP is a licensed independent CPA firm offering attest, tax and business advisory services.
We are recruiting a Senior Associate for our Los Angeles/Santa Monica office to deliver industry‑focused audit and assurance services to middle‑market clients.
Responsibilities
Engage with clients throughout the year to gather information, complete testing and respond to inquiries.
Plan and supervise the execution of all audit engagement activities.
Perform substantive testing on client balance sheets and income statements.
Assess internal control deficiencies and recommend improvements.
Collaborate with managers and partners on business recommendations derived from audit findings.
Participate in coaching, mentoring, and firm‑wide development programs.
Network internally and with clients to build strong relationships.
Support team development through the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy.
Engage in social activities and team outings to encourage work‑life balance.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent coursework to sit for the CPA exam.
CPA preferred or actively pursuing completion of exam.
At least 2 years of public‑accounting audit experience.
Strong time‑management, communication, interpersonal, collaboration and problem‑solving skills.
Leadership, project‑management, organizational and analytical abilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Suite.
Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship preferred.
Additional Information For California, Colorado, New York and Washington: compensation range $67,880 – $128,690 (actual compensation varies by skill, experience, qualification and location).
